Nicholas Hoult revealed he endured a marathon of watching zombie films to prepare for his new role in Warm Bodies.
The About A Boy actor stars in the comedy love story directed by 50/50's Jonathan Levine, about a girl who falls in love with a zombie during an apocalypse.
Nick attended the film's premiere in Los Angeles with Jonathan and co-stars John Malkovich, Dave Perry and Teresa Palmer.
Nick revealed: "There were a few days when me and Jonathan would sit around watching zombie films - a varied selection from Evil Dead, Night Of The Living Dead and all those things up to Zombieland and Shaun Of The Dead and 28 Days Later.
"It was great to have that much history of zombies and also to know that we were doing something that's respectful but is also adding a new twist to the genre."
Aussie beauty Teresa, who plays Nicholas' love interest in the film, looked vampish in a sheer black lace gown at the premiere.
The December Boys star was full of praise for Nick, gushing: "We love Nick. Everyone loves Nick Hoult!
"He's amazing. He's so fantastic. He's obviously incredibly talented, but he's a beautiful person - he's humble and he's down to earth, and that just goes so far in this industry. So I think he's really going to be a huge movie star."
