Newton-John's Grease tops makeovers
Olivia Newton-John's transformation from goody-goody to bad girl in Grease has been named the top on-screen makeover by movie buffs.
It beat the transformations of leading characters in My Fair Lady and Pretty Woman in the poll for movie rental and streaming service Lovefilm.
Newton-John's character Sandy goes from preppy to leather-clad bombshell in 1977 musical Grease, to win over heartthrob Danny Zuko, played by John Travolta.
Runner-up movie is Miss Congeniality starring Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts as Pretty Woman is in third place.
My Fair Lady, which starred Audrey Hepburn as flower girl Eliza Doolittle, who is turned into a society lady, came fourth in the list compiled to mark London Fashion Week.
Lovefilm editor Helen Cowley said: "Fashion has always been in the spotlight throughout film and television history, often making style icons out of the very actors who model the latest trends on-screen."
