Neve Campbell's Scream 4 doubts
Neve Campbell has confessed she had to be persuaded to appear in Scream 4.
The 37-year-old star of The Craft and Wild Things is probably best known for starring as Sidney Prescott in the cult horror trilogy, but told The Daily Telegraph she had doubts about making a fourth instalment of the franchise.
Neve said: "I was happy with the first three films we did in the series and thought we should leave it on a high."
But she revealed film-maker Harvey Weinstein convinced her there was still more life in the story and in the end she really enjoyed making the film.
Neve stars in Scream 4 with David Arquette and Courtney Cox Arquette, whose characters of Sheriff Dewey and reporter Gale have also both survived since the first Scream movie.
Trilogy director Wes Craven was behind the camera and the new movie was written by Kevin Williamson, writer of Scream and Scream 2, and co-writer of Scream 3.
The new slasher movie also has a huge ensemble cast including Valentine's Day's Emma Roberts, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and True Blood's Anna Paquin.
