Liam Neeson and Salma Hayek are among the stars who have reportedly signed on for The Prophet.
The duo are to lend their voices to the animated big-screen adaptation of Khalil Gibran's collection of writings, reported Deadline.
John Krasinski, Frank Langella, Alfred Molina and Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhane Wallis will also voice characters in the film, which is directed and written by The Lion King's Roger Allers.
Roger's story is an original narrative inspired by Khalil's writing, the iconic body of work that has become one of the biggest sellers since it was first published in 1923.
The Prophet is scheduled to be released in spring 2014.
Liam, who has been shooting Seth MacFarlane's comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West alongside Charlize Theron, is also attached to star in action movie Run All Night and A Gang Story remake. He is also being eyed for the Depression-era drama Highwaymen.
Meanwhile, Salma will reprise her role alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in Grown Ups 2 later this year.
