Brittany Murphy's final film performance in Something Wicked is set to hit the big screen, more than four years after her death.
The film's producers announced that the "hauntingly seductive thriller" would be released in Eugene, Oregon, where it was shot, on April 4.
It will then be shown across the country afterwards, reported US Weekly.
The film "about obsession and young love gone wrong", follows a young newlywed couple (played by Shantel VanSanten and John Robinson), whose marriage is sabotaged by a manipulative, psychotic acquaintance.
Producer and screenwriter Joe Colleran revealed he was impressed with Brittany's performance in the movie.
"Brittany pulled off one of the spookiest scenes in the movie. There's an important scene where her character is unravelling and she spent a long time getting ready and focused and went for it. Personally, I think it's one of the best scenes of her career," he told USA Today in 2011.
Brittany, who previously starred in Clueless, 8 Mile and Sin City, was found dead in her Hollywood home in December 2009. Her cause of death was ruled as a combination of pneumonia, anaemia, and prescription drug intoxication.
