We've rounded up the best Christmas-themed movies on Netflix for your festive viewing pleasure.

  • Go To

The decorations are up, the cupboards are stocked with mice pies, chocolate snowballs and bottles of wine... it really is the most wonderful time of the year.

What's more, it's perfectly acceptable to slip into your pyjamas early, curl up on the couch and settle in for the night with your nearest and dearest to get lost in the magic of your favourite Christmas movies.

The Santa Clause

This is the movie that made us really believe in the big guy in the red suit. Forget what the other kids say, Santa is real and Scott Calvin is proof.

A Very Murray Christmas

Christmas can be a lonely time for people and that theme is addressed brilliantly in this short film. A motley crew of lost souls are brought together in New York for an all-singing, all-drinking festive special and the result is rather touching.

Home Alone 1

Celebrating its 25 birthday this year, the endlessly quotable comedy remains one of the all-time Christmas greats... KEVIN!

Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends: Series 1: "Weird Christmas"

This Christmas special brings together four subjects from each episode of Theroux's first Weird Weekends series: Christian fundamentalist Randy James, porn star J.J. Michaels, recluse Mike Oehler and the Reverend Robert Short, who was part of an investigation of those who believe in UFOs. Perfect for that post-leftover turkey sandwich lunch slump.

BoJack Horseman Christmas Special: Sabrina's Christmas Wish

BoJack isn't in the festive spirit until Todd pops “Sabrina’s Christmas Wish” into the DVD player. It isn’t going to dethrone Scrooged but it's a definite contender for a cult Christmas classic.

It's a Wonderful Life

Heartwarming family fun that will make you appreciate the people in your life... and sure isn't that what Christmas is all about.
