The wife of Love Actually director Richard Curtis revealed what happened to Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson's characters in the iconic Christmas movie.
On Saturday night, script writer and broadcaster Emma Freud attended a midnight screening of Love Actually with her family in London.
She lived-Tweeted the experience and revealed pieces of information about that film that we never knew.
Over a decade after its release, the biggest questions fans have about the romcom surrounds the fate of Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson's characters' marriage.
You know that bit when Alan rickman's secretary in the office parts her legs in his direction? Still makes me want to puke. #LoveActually— emma freud (@emmafreud) December 13, 2015
Their story centres on Rickman's Harry as he contemplates an affair with his secretary Mia (played by Heike Makatsch).
Do you remember the gut-wrenching scenes when Thompson's Karen discovers the expensive necklace Harry purchased and then later realises that the gift was meant for someone else?
At the end of the film we see the couple head home from the airport together with nobody knowing if their relationship survived.
Fortunately one fan asked Emma Freud the question we all wanted answers to and she revealed: "They stay together but home isn't as happy as it once was."
Also, if you look super closely as Harry's hand at the airport scene, you can see that he's still wearing his wedding band.
Other bits of information tweeted out include that Martin Freeman wore a “little sock” while doing the fake sex scenes in the film, Curtis hasn’t seen the film since its premiere and their daughter played the second lobster in the nativity play.
Just incase you were worried, martin freeman had a little sock on his willy. #LoveActually— emma freud (@emmafreud) December 13, 2015
