The Wedding Singer 'Rapper's Delight' granny Ellen Albertini passes away aged 101

Actress Ellen Albertini, best known in recent years for her scene stealing turn as a rapping granny tackling 'Rapper's Delight' in The Wedding Singer has passed away.
She was 101. Her agent confirmed her death to Deadline on Monday evening.
Albertini had taught acting until 1985 when she then studied acting at the American Film Institute which led to roles in hit shows including The Twilight Zone, The Wonder Years, The Golden Girls, ER, Seinfeld, Moonlighting and Star Trek: THe Next Generation.
More recently she appeared in Wedding Crashers, Family Guy, and New Girl, when she was 99 years old.
Her take on 'Rapper's Delight' featured on the first soundtrack album from The Wedding Singer.
