Saoirse Ronan will join Oprah as a Tony Award presenter

Saoirse Ronan has been named alongside Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin and Cate Blanchett as a presenter in this year’s prestigious Tony Awards.
The Carlow actress stars in the four-time Tony nominated The Crubicle, which is based on the Salem witch trials of the 1690s.
Another actor who moved from screen to stage, Gabriel Byrne is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for his role in Long Day’s Journey Into Night.
The 70th year of the awards will take place on June 12 in New York, with James Corden set to host the ceremony.
The Tony Awards, also known as The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre, recognises achievement in Broadway theatre.
