Irish actresses Saoirse Ronan and Sarah Bolger have both been speaking out about the prospect of tackling nude scenes in movies.

Ronan (21) is currently lighting up the big screen in Brooklyn while Bolger (24) has bagged a role in AMC series Into the Badlands.

Speaking to the Irish Sun, Sarah said that the role of Jade is "probably the furthest I've gone, but there's not really any nudity in it".

However, she said she would have no problem stripping naked for a role in the right circumnstances.

"With acting and my job, nothing scares me about nakednss.  I wouldn't even think twice if it was right for the script and project," said the Dublin star.

"It's not like I'm making a conscious effort to push the boundaries but I won't ever limit myself in any way.  There is always something new with every opportunity that comes along, you just have to do what you will with that."

Fellow Irish star, Saoirse, however, recently said she would never strip for a role.

"I was very, very aware that I did not want to make that decision because I saw a lot of other people do it and I didn’t think it would work for me," she said.

“I didn’t want my work or the quality of the work I had done up to that point to suffer because I needed to prove to everyone I’m older.

“It’s hard when you’re waiting for that role to come that will take you to the next stage, but you just have to be very, very patient and keep waiting for the right thing and keep reading scripts and auditioning and going to the meetings and all of that."

Saoirse felt like the role in Brooklyn afforded her the opportunity to play a more adult character than she has done previously without pushing the boundaries physically.

She added, “But I was very, very aware of not making . . . not objectifying myself just to prove that I wasn’t a kid anymore.”
