Ronan and Storm teaming up to make a movie

From a romantic partnership to a creative one, Ronan Keating and his girlfriend Storm Uechtritz are teaming up to make a movie.

The couple, who have been dating since September 2012, have co-written a screenplay for a love-story drama and are also hoping to get a TV
project off the ground, Ronan
revealed.

The dad-of-three told the Herald that he will take on a producer role but will not be on the cast list.

The Boyzone frontman yesterday hosted his annual Marks & Spencer Ireland Marie Keating Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic at the K Club in Kildare with a string of well-known faces.

He will soon take to the West End stage after joining hit musical Once and said that he is finding it easier to be taken seriously as an actor now.

"I think people are starting to have faith in me a bit more, which is nice," he said.

Ronan was offered his part in Once by James Bond producer Barbara Broccolli.

"She was the one who contacted me and that gives me huge confidence," he said.

"I actually asked Barbara [for a role in Bond], I said I'll do anything - I'll be an extra or a doorman, anything.

"Seriously though, for me the big focus is on Once until March and hopefully there'll be a film project off the back of that, which is exciting."

The star has lined-up a part in The Riders with Luke Hemsworth and Mark Strong, a film adapted from Tim Winton's 1995 Man Booker prize-nominated novel of the same name.

The plot focuses on an Australian man living in Ireland who is searching for his missing wife.

Ronan is also confirmed for
Stones in His Pockets, a big-screen adaptation of Marie Jones' acclaimed play.

He admitted it's "risky" business working in the film industry, as jobs can often fall through at the last minute.

Ronan was joined by his other half Storm on the golf course yesterday.
