However, Entertainment Weekly has managed to wangle some details about the beginning of the plot, which feature in their Beasts cover story this week.

It's the first screenplay exclusively written by JK Rowling, who simply gave creative input into all ten Harry Potter movies.

Eddie Redmayne plays eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander who heads to New York with a case full of habitats primed for a collection of rare and endangered creatures from across the world.

In the US, however, he finds the wizarding community hiding from Muggles who threaten to expose them and the film kicks off when some of Newt's dangerous creatures escape from his case.

Newt Scamander was a character who appeared in Harry Potter and the film is based on an encyclopedia of his magical creatures which JK Rowling wrote for charity back in 2001.

Also starring in the movie are Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Gemma Chan, Don Fogler and Ron Perlman.

The film hits the big screen on November 18, 2016.
