She is about to explode all over our TV and cinema screens but stunning actress Seana Kerslake is not quite ready for fame.

The Dubliner is the star of a much anticipated new movie out this week, A Date for Mad Mary, and then a new six-part drama series on RTE, Can't Cope, Won't Cope, which airs just weeks later.

The 25-year-old actress can currently walk down the street incognito - but not for much longer.

"Really? People will recognise me? Oh God! I don't know about that," she laughs.

"That's not something I'm used to at all. But I hope the film and the TV show do well because the people I've got to work with over the last couple of years have just been amazing.

"I was not expecting Can't Cope, Won't Cope to be out so soon with Mad Mary so it is absolutely brilliant. It's all very exciting and very new.

"But face of the moment? I don't know about that!"

In A Date For Mad Mary, the girl from Tallaght plays a woman who is just out of jail and looking for a date for her best friend's wedding.

"She has come out of prison and is stuck in her younger self," says Seana. "It's a comedy drama and is a bit dark."
