Jack Black ribs Nicky Byrne for taking 2-year-old to see scary flick Goosebumps
Hollywood actor Jack Black has ribbed 2FM presenter Nicky Byrne for taking his young daughter to a scary movie.
Black was a guest on The Nicky Byrne show yesterday and he discussed his new film, Goosebumps.
The former Westlife star said he took his three children to see the spooky film.
"I went to the cinema last Sunday and brought my three kids and my wife to see Goosebumps. It was amazing. My little twin boys (8) and my daughter who is two - it kind of went over her head - but the boys haven't slept in a week," Byrne said on his 2FM radio show.
Black jokingly responded by saying "I can't believe you took your two-year-old, that's too young, I'll draw the line at two".
"It is (scary), the idea was that we wanted it to be thrilling, but not traumatising," he added.
However Nicky's young daughter did pick up on one part of the film, which features a frightening poodle.
"The only time she got remotely afraid was the bit with the poodle - she said 'That's not the kind of doggy I know'," Nicky said.
The actor said he enjoyed playing a "hateable winner" this time around as opposed to his usual role of "loveable loser".
Black, who is known for his leading roles in films such as Shallow Hal and Kung Fu Panda, starred in the Rob Letterman directed Goosebumps.
