Colin Farrell is rumoured to be joining the cast of superhero extravaganza, Justice League, along with Game of Thrones star Michiel Huisman.

A Russian Twitter account called CutTheCrapTV is reporting that Colin Farrell and Michiel Huisman - who plays Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones - are being considered for roles in the superhero movie.

Production kicked off in April at Pinewood Studios in London and studio bosses at Warner Brothers have remained relatively quiet about their DC cinematic universe.

This hasn't stopped the rumours from flowing. In fact, the secrecy surrounding the movie probably encourages the rumour mill to go into overdrive.

And while the rumour regarding Farrell and Huisman should be taken with a pinch of salt, it's worth noting that back in November the Irish actor was rumored to play John Constantine in Justice League: Dark - although this has never been confirmed

And if Huisman is actually being considered, it would see him join fellow Game of Thrones actor, Jason Momoa, who's set to star as Aquaman in the movie.

The movie's general plot will see Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and eventually Superman come together to battle Steppenwolf, who has landed in Earth to seize the three Mother Boxes left behind tens of thousands of years ago.

The superhero extravaganza stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash.

The supporting cast so far consists of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The film, scripted by Chris Terrio and directed by Zack Snyder, is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017, with Justice League: Part Two set for June 14, 2019.
