If you're a budding filmmaker and would like to shoot with Dominic West, here's your chance

Undiscovered filmmakers from all over the world are being invited to compete to film their work with The Wire star Dominic West.

The winner of Jameson's First Shot Competition will also avail of on-set guidance, support and input from Hollywood director Dana Brunetti, who will sit alongside West on the judging panel.

West is currently filming Tomb Raider while Brunetti is best known for films including Fifty Shades of Grey, The Social Network, and Captain Phillips.

Applicants are asked to submit a script of at least five but no more than seven pages long and should be about the great and/or unexpected things that can happen when you fear less and invite life in.

The hopefuls must be at least 25 years old and be living in Ireland, UK, USA, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Bulgaria or Israel.

Three writers/directors will be selected to have their script made into short films.

It's the sixth year of the competition and previous actors have included Maggie Gyllenhaal, Adrian Brody and Uma THurman.  The competition closes on June 1st.
