WWE superstar Sheamus has said that he wouldn’t rule out facing Conor McGregor in the ring.

The four-time WWE world champion has said that if the opportunity to face Conor McGregor in the ring came up, he wouldn’t turn it down.

“It’s entertainment, it’s WWE. I’d do anything. I’d fight anybody, any time, any place, anywhere,” he told independent.ie.

When asked whether he thinks McGregor could do WWE, the 38-year-old said he thinks the UFC fighter would be perfect for the job.

“I think the gift of the gab would definitely get him through there. I think he’s kind of tailor made for that sort of situation.”

“It’s very hard not to get Conor McGregor to talk,” he continued. “I think he’d do great.”

At the launch of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, the Cabra native admitted he loved dipping his toes into the world of Hollywood and would be interested in doing more acting work.

“I was kind of worried when I first went into it. I didn’t know what to expect in between WWE and travelling back and forth,” he said of his role as Rocksteady in the movie.

“Now it’s finally here I just want to enjoy it.”

“If something else pops up and it fits into my schedule, I’d love to do it.”

Stephen Farrelly, known as Sheamus, is currently in Dublin promoting the new film. But it’s straight back to the ring for The Celtic Warrior, who returns to WWE work on Saturday.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, starring Megan Fox, Stephen Amell and Alan Ritchson hits Irish cinemas this weekend.
