Hollywood pilot among two killed in plane crash on Tom Cruise movie set

A small plane on the set of Tom Cruise's latest film has crashed, leaving two dead and injuring another.
The 53-year-old actor is currently filming Mena, alongside Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, and the Associated Press has confirmed that a plane used during filming crashed in the Colombian Andes yesterday.
Hollywood pilot Alan David Purwin and Colombia Carlos Berl lost their lives in the crash, while another pilot and flight instructor Jimmy Lee Garind has been seriously injured and is in hospital.
It's reported that the aircraft encountered bad weather last night after taking off from Santa Fe de Antioquia.
Cruise, who is a trained a pilot, was not on board, and his agent did comment on the tragedy.
