A Street Cat Named Bob is the film adaptation of James Bowen’s much-loved, best-selling book.

It's due out in November and stars Luke Treadaway (Unbroken, Clash of the Titans) as recovering drug addict James and the transformation he undertakes when he meets Bob, the stray cat walks into his sheltered accommodation with an injured leg.

Inseparable, the adorable ginger cat remains at James' side and accompanies him on his busking journey around London.

And yes, that's the real Bob in the film.

Also starring Ruta Gedmintas (The Strain, The Incident)  Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey, Filth) Anthony Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and (of course) Bob, filming took place over six weeks in London, mainly in Covent Garden where James and Bob used to busk.

The film is directed by Roger Spottiswoode (Tomorrow Never Dies, Under Fire, Air America, Turner and Hooch), with a script from Tim John (Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde) and Maria Nation (Ice Bound).
