First look at Jared Leto as The Joker in David Ayer's Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad director David Ayer has revealed the first glimpse of Jared Leto in character as The Joker.
Having previously posted a pic of the cast at a script read-through to Twitter, he was called out on aspect - Leto was missing from the line-up which included Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and Cara Delevingne.
However, he then posted a teaser pic of Leto in character as the DC villain in the classic 1988 cover The Killing Joke by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland.
The film charts the adventures of a group of supervillains who are recruited to perform dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.
Joining Robbie, Smith and Delevingne as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and Enchantress respectively are Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Scott Eastwood, Jai Courtney, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
The film begins shooting in two weeks is slated for release in August next year.
