If Mrs Brown and the Hardy Bucks lads can graduate from small to big screen then so can Damo and Ivor.
Andy Quirke's hit RTE TV series will be made into a film by Parallel Films, the production company behind the series and feature films Albert Nobbs and Breakfast on Pluto.
Quirke plays twins Damo and Ivor who were separated at birth with one growing up on Dublin's south side and the other growing up on the north side.
The script will be written by Quirke and series writing partner Jules Coll.
Damo & Ivor started as a sketch on Republic of Telly in 2011 before landing its own series in 2013.
Quirke is the son of Dr Quirkey's businessman Richard Quirke and a brother of Wesley Quirke who is married to Rosanna Davison.
