Moore and Coogan to play divorcees
Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan are to star as dysfunctional divorcees in a new film adaptation of Henry James novel What Maisie Knew.
The movie - which sees two parents use their daughter as a pawn in their relationship after a judge grants them six months of custody a year each - is to be updated with Tropic Thunder star Steve playing an art dealer who is divorcing a rock star, played by Julianne, the New York Post reports.
The film will be directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, whose previous work includes the indie drama Uncertainty starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
What Maisie Knew will be filmed for New York's Red Crown Productions.
The movie's foreign rights are to be offered for sale at the Cannes Film Festival, which starts this week.
