Jason Momoa has brushed off claims he is playing Aquaman as "rumours".
There had been reports that the Conan The Barbarian star is in line to play the Justice League superhero in the Man Of Steel sequel, Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
TV host Jimmy Kimmel gave the actor a grilling about the reports when he appeared on his show, but Jason said: "Those are all rumours," although he didn't deny them.
Jason, who played Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones, later added: "That would be pretty exciting. What do you think? We'll just have to wait and see. I don't know."
The 34-year-old remained coy over the stories, even when Jimmy showed him a juxtaposed photo of him as his Game Of Thrones character with Aquaman.
"Will you wear the green leotard in the water as Aquaman?" the presenter asked, to which the actor replied: " Am I answering the question, 'Would you like to see me in the green leotard?'"
"I don't know. I like that they cast you as Aquaman," Jimmy said.
Jason - who will make his directorial debut with drama Road To Paloma, which he will also write, produce and star in - previously dismissed rumours about Aquaman after he was asked about the stories at Detroit's Motor City Comic Con.
Aquaman - also known as Arthur, King of Atlantis - rules the world's oceans and possesses super-strength and the power to communicate with sea life.
Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) star alongside Laurence Fishburne, Jesse Eisenburg, Holly Hunter and Amy Adams in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which will be released in May 2016.
