Michael 'up for Expendables sequel'
Michael Cera has joked he would like to appear in The Expendables sequel.
The geeky-looking actor, who turns into unlikely action hero Scott Pilgrim in Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, reckons he could hold his own alongside Sylvester Stallone and his muscle-men, which include Jason Statham and Jet Li.
"I am going to do a very hard push, get him on the phone and get his email address - I'm assuming Sylvester Stallone's email is email@example.com so I will just keep sending emails to that until I get a call from him," he quipped at the film's UK premiere.
Joking aside, Michael - who plays the title role - admitted he has no plans to make a habit out of playing action men because of the extensive training he underwent to tone up his physique.
"It was never something that I set out to do and I'm grateful for Edgar Wright for giving me the chance," he said.
He added: "They had me doing all kinds of things that my body has absolutely no capability or desire to do, and that I will probably never do again, but it was amazing. I'm planning on just sitting around and never doing another push-up for the rest of my life."
:: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World is in cinemas on August 25.
