Magic Mike heading to Broadway
Channing Tatum has confirmed he is taking his hit film Magic Mike to Broadway.
The actor posted a message on his website confirming that the 2012 movie would be adapted for the stage.
The message said: "You knew you were getting a sequel, but now you'll also soon be able to check out the LIVE stage version... of Magic Mike, The Musical! Your favourite sexy male stripper story is hitting the stage and bringing with it the best of Broadway."
Channing will produce the show with his producing partner Reid Carolin, along with the film's director Steven Soderbergh and co-producers Gregory Jacobs and Nick Wechsler.
Magic Mike - which was loosely based on Channing's experiences as a male stripper - also starred Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey.
The film was a huge hit and earned more than 158 million dollars at the worldwide box office.
