Lopez 'pigs out' for new movie role
Jennifer Lopez aimed to capture exactly what being pregnant is really like in her new movie - by stuffing her face and breaking wind.
The singer and actress plays a successful career woman who is artificially inseminated only to meet the love of her life on the same day in romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan.
J-Lo - who flaunted her famous curves at the Leicester Square premiere in a black leather dress - said: "There's a couple of scenes in the movie where I'm eating and pigging out and they didn't put them in the first cut - I was like 'Listen guys, this is extremely important for women'.
"They need to see me pigging out. This is what happens when you get pregnant. You get really sleepy. You get really hungry. You get gas!"
The 40-year-old mother-of-two was anything but the diva as she warmly greeted fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
Jennifer, whose last movie role was three years ago, spoke of how much fun she had making the comedy with Australian co-star Alex O'Loughlin.
She said: "I had a two-and-a-half-year maternity leave so it was good to get back to work."
Speaking about how motherhood had changed her life, she added: "It doesn't just change you as a person, your whole perspective on life is different because now your heart is opened in a way you never knew it could."
But J-Lo admitted being a working mother is difficult.
"It's a tough balancing act, it really is. I wouldn't say that my life is easy, it's harder now but it's better. Life is just more beautiful," she said.
