Lee creates new superhero for film
Stan Lee is to conceive a new character for a superhero film.
The co-creator of Marvel superheroes such as the X-Men, Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man and more, is said to be joining forces with former Marvel Studios head Avi Arad for a "new big-screen project featuring a new Lee creation".
Avi told The Hollywood Reporter that details are being kept under wraps, saying: "Some titles give away too much.
"At the ripe old age of 90, he can still put together magic. He's as sharp as a Japanese cooking knife. His mind is as young as it used to be," he added of Lee.
The project, which will be produced by Avi, his producing partner and son Ari, and Stan's partner at POW! Entertainment, Gill Champion, is in the early stages, with the producers expected to meet writers for a screenplay soon.
Comic book writer Stan, who will turn 91 on December 28, has cameo appearances in many of the Marvel films. He was last seen as a patient in a mental home in the Thor sequel, Thor: The Dark World.
