Lea Michele auditions for Les Mis
Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift and Evan Rachel Wood are in the running for the major role of Eponine in the Les Miserables film, according to reports.
They have all auditioned for the part in Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper's film, the New York Post said.
A source said that Lea "knocked it out of the park" when the Glee star recently performed for the King's Speech director.
But the source said it was going to be a tough choice deciding whether to pick Lea, Hollywood star Scarlett, singer Taylor or The Wrestler star Evan for the big-screen version of the musical.
In the Victor Hugo novel, Eponine falls in love with Marius, to be played in the film by Eddie Redmayne, and dies trying to save his life.
The film, produced by Cameron Mackintosh, is also set to star Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Geoffrey Rush.
Russell will be playing vengeful police inspector Javert opposite Hugh as reformed prisoner Jean Valjean.
Anne will star as Fantine, Geoffrey is said to be in the running for the part of drunken pub owner Thenardier, and Helena Bonham Carter has been tipped as his screen wife Madame Thenardier.
