Lautner and Collins 'good friends'
Taylor Lautner has dismissed rumours of a real-life romance with Abduction co-star Lily Collins, insisting they are just "very good friends".
The duo's on-screen chemistry was thought to have spilled off the set of the fast-paced action thriller, but the 19-year-old said of the rumoured romance: "We are very good friends."
Taylor, whose character Nathan is smitten by Lily's alter-ego Karen, admitted it was easy locking lips on set with the actress, the daughter of musician Phil.
"We were able to just like dive right into that. It's funny because it's like two different kinds of action. The other action scenes involved a lot of preparation and a lot of training but for this we just figured it would be best to just go for it," he said.
"I mean, there was really no choreography. We were like, 'Let's just see what happens and hopefully it'll look swell'. It was fine. We jumped right into it."
He added: "The only awkward part about it is that we had 100 to 150 grown men staring at us during all of it. That's their job, so I totally get it, but that thought is always in the back of your mind and you have to get rid of it and live these characters for that moment."
:: Abduction opens in cinemas on September 28.
