LaBeouf wants to be like Hoffman
Shia LaBeouf has said he doesn't want comfortable film roles.
The actor, 24, who is currently filming the third Transformers film, said he wanted to be like Dustin Hoffman.
He reportedly told The Sun: "I am not where I want to be at. And I hope I will never go to the stage where I've gotten there and I am comfortable. Because that's the death of an actor."
He said: "Look at Hoffman, he is still striving, pushing and fighting. Comfort is the end. I have goals that are tangible, but they are way distant, and I created them so that they are distant."
The Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull actor, who dates his Wall Street 2 co-star Carey Mulligan, said he was not ready for children, telling the newspaper: "Sure, there is time for a relationship. There is time for everything."
But he insisted: "I am not talking about family yet."
The actor, who plays trader Gordon Gekko's new apprentice in the forthcoming Wall Street sequel, added: "I am not the most talented dude of my generation. I am the luckiest dude on the planet, it feels like."
