Kirsten: Lars just likes to provoke

Kirsten Dunst has revealed she "wanted to smack" filmmaker Lars von Trier after he told reporters at a press conference he was "a Nazi" and could understand Hitler.
The Danish filmmaker was declared "persona non grata" by Cannes Film Festival organisers earlier this month over comments he made at an event to promote his new film Melancholia - in which Kirsten plays newlywed Justine.
"Yeah, I wanted to smack him," she told the Daily Mail.
"I thought, 'Argh! Stop talking, Lars!'"
But Kirsten put Lars' comments - which he has since apologised for - down to his "twisted sense of humour".
She added: "You get used to it and you get to know Lars as a very loving father; and probably one of the most sensitive people I've ever met.
"But then you have the Lars who just likes to say provocative stuff, or really inappropriate things, and joke about things I would never, ever say in a million years.
