The Galway Film Fleadh is hoping to attract Kiera Knightley and Adam Levine to its red carpet.
The 26th running of the event will kick off with a bang and a sing-song this year as 'Once' director John Carney's latest offering 'Begin Again' opens the popular film festival.
The romantic comedy stars Knightley and Levine, and festival directors are hopeful both will attend the premiere at the Town Hall Theatre on July 8.
"We are working on it," spokesperson for the festival Gar O'Brien said. "It's still up in the air at the moment but we would hope some of the principle cast would make it."
The movie was originally entitled 'Can A Song Save Your Life' but underwent a re-branding after Harvey Weinstein's production company snapped up the distribution rights after it premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
It has been almost 10 years since 'Once' was released, won global acclaim, was awarded an Oscar and turned into a Tony-winning Broadway show.
There are some obvious parallels between 'Begin Again' and 'Once' – they are both musical dramas with some of the score scripted by Glen Hansard.
However, in 'Begin Again' Dublin has been replaced by Manhattan and the cast is far glitzier: Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld, Cee Lo Green and Catherine Keener all make appearances.
