Katie Holmes has declared "it's great to be back" as she premiered her new film at the Sundance Film Festival.
The Batman Begins actress, 31, hit the snowy streets of Park City, Utah, without husband Tom Cruise for the debut of The Extra Man.
"It's great to be back - I had a lot of great working experiences last year, and I'm really excited to show these projects here," she told Entertainment Tonight.
In The Extra Man, which also stars Paul Dano and Kevin Kline, Katie plays a hippy working at an environmental magazine alongside intelligent, cross-dressing English teacher (portrayed by Paul).
And in The Romantics, another film she stars in and executive produces which is at the festival, she gets caught up in a love triangle between her ex-boyfriend (Josh Duhamel) and his new bride (Anna Paquin).
Since 2008's robbery caper Mad Money, Katie has had a cameo role in Eli Stone and made her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
