Kate's nerves over daughter's debut
Kate Beckinsale has revealed she was "paralysed with terror" when her daughter made her big screen debut in Everybody's Fine.
Lily Mo, 11, Kate's child with former partner Michael Sheen, plays Robert De Niro's on-screen daughter Amy in the drama.
Kate said: "I was paralysed with terror for her really - but she was perfectly fine and at the end of it she said, 'That was great, I just wish it was with somebody famous like George Clooney'."
Kate - who plays the grown-up Amy - found it easy to be De Niro's on-screen daughter because she already saw him as a father figure.
"We all felt that he had this quality that reminded us of our own fathers," she said. "It's not the way he looks or what he does, but he has this mix of strength and vulnerability that reminded everyone - even people visiting the set - of their dads."
And she revealed she bonded with her screen siblings, Sam Rockwell and Drew Barrymore.
"I think we all felt very connected and cobbled together, like a real family. Everyone was full of emotions about the story," she went on.
"We might not have had the same experiences as our characters, but the themes of secrets in families, trying to protect your parents and the relationships between siblings was something each of us could relate to."
