Julianne Moore has declared her co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers "tremendous" for portraying a character with multiple personalities in new thriller Shelter.
The actress stars as a psychiatrist who takes on a new patient, played by Jonathan, before discovering all his multiple personalities are murder victims.
She said: "Jonathan's... character's got these multiple personalities and so he's been responsible for all these different characters and it's so challenging."
She added: "I think his work has just been wonderful and he's been serious and fun and has just done some really terrific and interesting and surprising work. He's been lovely."
The Tudors star Jonathan returned the compliment.
He said: "Julianne's amazing - one of the main reasons to do the film. ...She's very strong, but strong in a very maternal way. She's an extraordinary actress."
Julianne revealed: "I think the movie's going to be incredibly entertaining - really very suspenseful and scary. I'm a huge fan of things that scare me. ... I think what they've done with this film is really interesting. It feels like a drama with a lot of sort of scary things in it.
"You don't really know where the thread is coming from - whether it's realistic, whether it's supernatural," she added.
