Felicity Jones is rumoured to have landed the female lead in Warren Beatty's biopic about Howard Hughes.
The Chalet Girl star will apparently play a young woman who first gets involved with Howard's driver and confidante, before falling for the American business magnate himself, reported Deadline.
Justin Timberlake, Owen Wilson and Alden Ehrenreich are in the mix to play the young male lead, while Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin and Annette Bening are in talks for other roles.
Oscar-winning actor and director Warren - who is married to Annette - is set to make his long-awaited return as the director, star and producer of the currently untitled comedy drama, which is said to cover two time periods in the world-famous aviator's life, focusing on the romantic affair Howard had in the later years of his life.
Further details about the movie, which has been in the works for over 25 years and is expected to start production in 2012, remain under wraps.
Next up for Birmingham-born actress Felicity is a starring role in romantic drama Like Crazy with Anton Yelchin and comedy Hysteria alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy.
