Dwayne Johnson has revealed that Fast And Furious 7 will be a tribute to his co-star Paul Walker.

The Hercules star reprises his role as government bounty hunter and DSS (Diplomatic Security Service) agent Luke Hobbs in the seventh instalment, which has completed filming following a hiatus after Paul died in a car crash last November.

"Any time you lose a loved one, it's tough, and we all deal with it in our own certain way," said the 42-year-old.

"I think the studio was very challenged to try and work out how we were going to continue to make that movie without Paul, which was a very challenging and difficult thing to do.

"I feel like this version of the Fast And Furious movie is going to be very special," he added. "It's going to be emotional and I think audiences are going to appreciate it."

Dwayne is reunited with co-stars including Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges (Tej Parker) on the seventh film, which is directed by James Wan.

The actor, also known as The Rock, added: "I had the best time. It's been a hell of a run. Not to say I won't be back, but you never know what will happen or what may go down."

Michelle marked the end of filming by posting a photo on Facebook of herself and Vin in a car, captioned: "15 years later Ride or Die through thick and thin we finally finished the hardest emotional roller coaster, #FF7. Hope to make you proud P, love you."

Paul's brothers Caleb and Cody stepped in for their sibling to complete his remaining scenes.

:: Hercules is in cinemas now, while Fast And Furious 7 will be released in 2015.
