JJ Abrams on Mission Impossible IV
JJ Abrams has revealed he and Tom Cruise plan to set the new Mission Impossible IV in all corners of the globe.
The producer and director was speaking at the Oscar Wilde: Honouring The Irish In Film pre-Academy Awards party in Los Angeles on Thursday night, where he said he and Cruise would soon be appointing a director for the project.
JJ revealed: "We're working on Mission IV and we have a really cool idea that we're playing with and I'm looking forward to that coming to pass - there's definitely will be a European presence but there's a whole crazy story, it's definitely a jet setting movie."
He added: "I'm producing with Tom, we're going to have a director soon - its fun!"
Cruise hit the Irish green carpet in Hollywood to honour JJ for his contribution to the film industry.
The A-lister arrived late and dodged photographers by taking a back door into the Oscar Wilde: Honouring The Irish In Film pre-Academy Awards party.
Lost creator JJ said he was pleased that Tom had wanted to present him with the honour.
"I am thrilled that he's here and he's a dear friend so I'm touched," he said.
He jokingly added: "Now I'm sure I owe him. He's already been so kind and supportive and sweet, so this is above and beyond."
