FILM-MAKER Jim Sheridan has been asked by Hollywood producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein to direct an hour-long TV movie based around one of the 'Ten Commandments'.

It is one of 10 in a series being produced for Chicago station WGNTV, Sheridan revealed. "Bob asked me to do it. Every director gets an hour and they have to come up with their version of one of the commandments.

"I'm doing 'Thou Shalt Not Take The Lord's Name in Vain', which is ironic," he said in Windmill Lane studios in Dublin at the launch of a new MA in Scoring Film and Visual Media being run by Pulse College with DIT Conservatory of Music.
