Jennifer Lopez is in talks to star in the remake of the romantic comedy Overboard.
The 1987 movie - which starred real-life couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn and was directed by Pretty Woman's Garry Marshall - is set to be revamped by Will Smith's production company Overbrook and J-Lo is in line for a role, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Goldie starred as a nasty, rich snob who is furious when her husband docks their yacht in a small-town bay, and passes the time hiring and firing a carpenter and widowed father of four sons (played by Kurt).
When she falls off the boat and wakes up in hospital with amnesia he plots revenge by telling her she's his wife and getting her to come and cook, clean and play mother to his children.
Adam Cooper, Bill Collage and Leslie Dixon have all worked on the current script.
Will is producing with Overbrook partner James Lassiter.
Actress, singer and businesswoman Jennifer - who recently became the mother of twins - hasn't appeared in a movie since 2006's El Cantante with husband Marc Anthony, but will appear in romcom The Back-up Plan this April.
