Jennifer Aniston has revealed the flurry of rumours surrounding her and Gerard Butler are "insulting".
The on-screen chemistry between Tinseltown actress and Gerard, the stars of The Bounty Hunter, has been the subject of speculation, fuelling gossip about a real-life romance - but she said the stories have no substance.
"All this, that me and Gerry are in this fake relationship for the press of our movie, or the selling of it, it's just so insulting at the same time but again, it's the story - I'm getting to a better place in understanding that they're just making money," she told GMTV.
She added: "I think that it's sort of just a formula - they think that if you do a movie together and you get along really well, you must be dating. It's fodder, it fills magazines, it has nothing backing it at all."
Jennifer, who divorced from ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2005, said it's possible for couples to get back together.
"Sometimes you meet each other in a time in your lives and you're not necessarily ready, or you haven't been quite formed - not fully formed to sort of have the maturity it takes to be in a relationship," she added.
:: The Bounty Hunter is in cinemas from March 17.
