Jennifer Lawrence has apologised for getting so caught up in the excitement of winning an Oscar that she forgot to thank some important people.
The 22-year-old scooped the best actress gong for her portrayal of a young widow in Silver Linings Playbook, and has now confessed that she was so caught up in the moment that she neglected to mention director David O Russell and producer Harvey Weinstein.
She told Entertainment Weekly the day after the ceremony: "In the whirlwind of last night, I was remiss to thank two incredibly important people to this film and in my life."
She went on to thank David for his "genius" and "teaching me things about myself and nurturing me to be a better actor".
Jen also thanked Harvey, saying his "passion and unyielding support" gave the film the chance to thrive.
She went on: "Thank you to both. I will never be able to forgive myself for such a brain fart but I hope that you both can. Obviously it was not on purpose, I couldn't remember what I had already said and my mind went completely blank - your brain does funny things during the most overwhelming moment of your life!"
Meanwhile, the star's costumes from the movie are up for grabs at an auction.
People reports that clothes include a Gap Body sports bra and shirt that Jen wore for scenes where her character worked on her dance skills with co-star Bradley Cooper, and a pair of trousers her character wore for a dance competition.
The lots are being sold by Nate D Sanders Auctions of Los Angeles and bids begin at 100 dollars.
