Hugh Jackman has revealed that Amanda Seyfried was the "joker" on the Les Miserables set.
The Australian star, who plays ex-convict Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's big-screen musical remake, admitted that the actress - who portrays Cosette - would often distract the cast during filming.
"(She has) naughty behaviour. The kind of thing I can't talk about. She's cheeky. We used to call her the 'deflector'," he said.
"It's very difficult, even in rehearsals, to keep her mind on the job in hand for anything longer than four minutes."
He added: "Sometimes it was naughty, and other times it was like, 'Did you guys watch The X Factor last night?' And we'd be like, 'Eh Amanda, we're talking'."
Hugh joked that he 'stalked' the British director for a role.
"I was a massive Les Mis fan, but my agent was a big musical theatre fan and grew up with the Anthony Perkins BBC dramas. So I rang Tom Hooper and said, 'I'd love to have a meeting' before he even signed on for it," he recalled.
"We talked about it, before he called security. And then I auditioned for him a month later when he did sign on for it."
