Jason Isaacs has hailed Paul Greengrass as the most successful action director in the world.
The Harry Potter star, who appears alongside Matt Damon in Greengrass' new thriller Green Zone, told how working with the director was a very different experience to when they worked on TV drama The Fix in 1997.
Jason said: "I have worked with him before, a long time ago, and he's changed his style a lot."
He continued: "Since he started doing Stephen Laurence, Bloody Sunday and then the Bourne films, he's really evolved his own style of film making and there's nobody else in the world who can make films like he does and it's very exciting and scary as an actor because all of the normal bag of tricks you've learned to work with are irrelevant... there are no marks, there is no choreography, everything changes every second, but I think you see that level of energy and spontaneity on screen.
"That's why he's the biggest most successful action director in the world."
The film deals with the subject of the US search for WMD's in Iraq, but Jason feels the entertainment comes before any political message.
He said: "I think that what he's done is deliver a fantastic piece of Saturday night entertainment, but it's a throwback also to those times when people thought that you could entertain and provoke, so it's a big rollercoaster ride. It's certainly going to satisfy the popcorn crowd, but they'll be plenty to talk about afterwards."
