Isaac scores lead in Coen Bros film
Oscar Isaac has won the coveted lead in the Coen Brothers' next film, Inside Llewyn Davis.
The Guatemalan-Cuban actor, who has appeared in Sucker Punch and Drive, is set to be propelled into the big-time with Joel and Ethan's indie drama, reported Deadline.
While details of the film are under wraps, it is said to be loosely based on the life of American folk singer Dave van Ronk, who "presided" over the coffeehouse folk culture in Greenwich Village during the 60s and was a friend to the new wave of artists including Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs and Joni Mitchell.
Oscar - who next stars in Madonna's period drama WE - previously played a musician in Ten Year, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Inside Llewyn Davis gears up to start shooting in early 2012 in New York.
