The TV presenter and her co-host Simon Delaney had a tough job presenting the awards bash, which was plagued with production problems.
Speaking about it, she said: "It's not very nice for someone when you're not feeling safe in the situation you're in."
She also said how she doesn't normally do jobs at home in Ireland but made a "conscious decision" to do it which was "putting myself out there".
Laura added: "But it's done now, and I try not to dwell on anything. The next day, I had to fly back to London. I just move on to the next thing. You live and you learn, and we got through it. Simon is an amazing person. I probably would have left if he hadn't been there."
The shambolic night hasn't put off the Bray native from hosting another -- she's set to co-present Britain's Eurovision coverage this week.
"What Irish person doesn't love the Eurovision? I love that two of the presenting team for the Eurovision for the UK are Irish," she continued.
She also seems to be flying high in her personal life after being linked with Scottish super-star Paolo Nutini over the past number of months.
Yet when asked about the rumours, she was giving nothing away to Life magazine. "I've always tried to keep things as private as possible," she explained.

"Relationships are so hard as it is, especially when things are new and I'm all over the place.
"So you have to keep that as personal as possible," she added.
