Hill, Franco to cameo in Jay & Seth
Jonah Hill and James Franco are to play themselves in Jay & Seth Vs The Apocalypse, Seth Rogen has revealed.
The big-screen adaptation of the viral internet hit will feature funnymen Seth and Jay Baruchel as themselves too, and they will be joined by their friends and regular collaborators.
"It's a very strange movie, but it's gonna happen," Seth told the Winnipegg Free Press.
"It's all our friends, luckily, and we all play ourselves in the movie. I literally play Seth Rogen in the movie and Jay Baruchel literally plays himself in the movie and others - Jonah Hill, James Franco - they're literally playing themselves in the movie."
Seth explained the story, which he wrote with screenwriting partner Evan Goldberg, follows "a bunch of friends who are barricaded in a house together" during the apocalypse.
"They think they've kind of survived the worst and then they realise they all really can't stand to be around each other as they're stuck in this house together," he added.
Production is set to begin in early 2012.
