Now acting heartthrob Colin Farrell is showing off his softer, more romantic side in his new movie Miss Julie.
The Castleknock native shot the forthcoming flick alongside Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain last summer and the first official images of the big budget production have finally been unveiled ahead of its release in cinemas.
New pictures show Dubliner Colin and redhead beauty Jessica in an passionate embrace, while others show them looking down the camera lens dressed in full period costume.
Shot in Co Fermanagh, the €4.5m silver screen adaptation of August Strindberg’s ground-breaking 1888 play was directed by Norwegian actor-director Liv Ullmann.
Jessica plays the part of an unsettled daughter of the Anglo-Irish aristocracy who encourages her father’s valet to seduce her. Father-of-two Colin's Minority Report co-star Samantha Morton has been installed as the Irish cook and fiancé of his character.

Miss Julie is the second movie Colin has worked on in his home country in the past 12 months.
He recently completed principle photography on The Lobster in Co Kerry.
It focuses on an unconventional love story set in the future, where finding a partner is a matter of life or death. British actress Rachel Weisz plays Colin’s love interest and spent several weeks here, staying in the Merrion Hotel with her James Bond husband Daniel Craig.
