Tom Hardy could be reuniting with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant.
The Locke star is said to be in "serious talks" to join the cast of Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's big-screen adaptation of Michael Punke's 2002 novel, The Revenant: A Novel Of Revenge, according to film blog Schmoes Know.
Leonardo, who starred with Tom in Christopher Nolan's Inception, is already on board the gritty thriller, where he has been cast as a 19th century fur trapper left for dead by his companions after a bear attack.
He then sets out on his journey for vengeance, wanting revenge on those who betrayed him.
Adapted by Oscar-nominated director Alejandro and Mark L Smith, production on The Revenant is scheduled to begin in September, in time for a release in autumn 2015.
Tom, last seen in Locke, will next be seen in crime dramas The Drop and Child 44 alongside Noomi Rapace. The 36-year-old is also set to star as Sir Elton John in the biopic Rocket Man and reunite with Steven Knight on the second series of Peaky Blinders.
