Hardy bulking up for Batman role
Tom Hardy has revealed he has to start bulking up for the next Batman movie.
The Inception actor, who won the Bafta Orange Wednesdays Rising Star award, showed off a muscular and tattooed physique when he appeared on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, but revealed he has to add even more pounds for the role of menacing villain Bane, as he did for his title role in Bronson.
"That's a lot of weight to put on and I've got to start shooting in May - so I've got to get back up to that size again and I've got to get up to about 13-and-a-half or 14 stone," he told the TV host.
"I'm 12-and-a-bit now, so I've got under three months to do that. It'll be a lot of fat and trickery," he added.
Tom is excited about Christopher Nolan's plans for the third - and reportedly final - outing for the caped superhero.
"Chris Nolan, again, will revisit that territory entirely so I wouldn't go by that [Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin]," he continued.
However, the 33-year-old admitted he hasn't been told if there will be a sequel for Inception, which is up for eight Oscars.
"I don't know actually, I'm not sure. These days, we sign up to sequel deals for any film that you do so we have signed sequel deals but whether or not they'll make one, I don't know," he said.
